Effect of Green LED Light Irradiation on Bone Marrow-Derived Osteoblast-Like Cells

In recent years, many reports have suggested that photobiomodulation therapy (PBMT) using laser or LED light has wound-healing effects and is effective for early osseointegration of implants. addition, studies LEDs often use red with a wavelength 600-900 nm. On the other hand, there are shorter sources, such as green 500-570 nm, more cell proliferation. Therefore, we examined effect PBMT by irradiating rat-derived osteoblast-like cells light. Osteoblast-like collected from rat femurs were cultured irradiated four times at 5.6 J/cm2 16 seconds. Comparisons made between group light, treated fibroblast growth factor, control group. The wound healing evaluating proliferation activity, alkaline phosphatase (ALP) mineralization ability. showed significantly higher proliferative capacity than group, FGF + 4.5 12 hours after irradiation.
